A central work within the neuro series, developed in dialogue with the book Leven met een neurostimulator (UZ Brussel).
The figure turns away, not in absence but in containment. A body marked by intervention, carrying both fracture and continuation.
Painted on a fragile medical carrier, the image holds a tension between exposure and protection, where the spine becomes both structure and vulnerability.
This work does not illustrate recovery, but the condition of living with what remains.
