I sense the feverish pulse of color consuming her face as if desire itself became flesh. The chromatic turbulence around her eyes and mouth evokes both ecstasy and surrender. In painting her I wanted to dissolve restraint and allow instinct to dictate form. The tongue, exaggerated and radiant, becomes an emblem of excess, a visual hymn to appetite and abandon.
